What is Pinmaps.net?
Pinmaps.net is an online service that allow users easily search, save, share, and then quickly access their favorite
locations on an interactive map anywhere an internet connection is available.
Once you understand the basics of how the system works it is a breeze to use the service.
My Maps
The 'My Maps' section is private and can only be viewed by you and the people you share them with.
You can use this section as a business or personal address book.
How does it work?
Before you can get the most benefit out of the service is important to understand the definition of the two main entities: Maps and Map Points.
They have a one-to-many relationship: a map can contain many map points.
A map is a large area such as a city, a state, or a country.
A map point is a location on the map such as an address, or a landmark that is physically represented by an icon or marker.
All the controls you need to create, edit, and delete maps and map points are located on the menu bar and on the map itself.
Some of these controls are hidden and visible upon user interaction with the map.
Now that you understand the basics lets get started:
- How to create a map
- How to edit a map
- How to delete a map
- How to bulk add map points
- How to add a map point

- Map Type: ROADMAP, SATELLITE, HYBRID, TERRAIN
- Select the Icon Image you want for you map points
Click the Choose File button.
Last Click the Import button.
Do not close the window until you ge the done message. The data import process can take up to
a minute to complete.
You can only use the bulk add tool up to 5 times in a 24 hour period.
Why do you have a bulk add record limit and the 24 hour wait limit in place?
The record limit is based on your pricing pland and it comes from 2 reasons:
1) The first reason is because the data conversion takes a while and the time out on a Web Page
would make it impossible to process a large amount of addresses.
2) Converting the addresses from your data file into a map location is a service provided by third
party services and unfortunately they have a limit in place.
We know these limitations are annoying, but we believe the bulk add tool is otherwise useful and
time-saving.
